DD's birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and she finally got her Samantha doll. She was so excited! When she opened it up, she said "Oh mommy, I just knew you had a hundred dollars!" Anyhow, I do have a Samantha question...her hair seems way shorter than I expected it to be. It was purchased new...is this a dirrerence between PM and Mattel, or does it just seem longer in pics? Also, there is kind of a space between her neck and body...I honestly don't know if she came this way or if it is from being carried around everywhere. Is there any way I can fix that?
Thanks,
leah

Hi Leah! Welcome to the board. I just love your pictures of your dds birthday! So adorable! I have two dds, both a little older than yours, but they are both still in love with AG. [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Your Samantha's hair looks just right to me, just like my dds Samantha. It is pulled up a little and is much curlier/more wavy than the other dolls, so I imagine that makes it seem shorter. Kaya's hair is the longest (well, maybe Addy's, too). Josefina's is also pretty long and straight. I just love Samantha's hair with those pretty curls. My dd has had her Samantha for 4 years now and her hair still looks beautiful. (not perfect, but still very pretty)
I hope you have fun here...it's a great place to be!

There is a cord that goes through a casing in the body at the base of the neck. The cord is tied in back and it is this cord that holds on the head. Simply untie the knot, cinch up the cord and retie the knot.
In case the body ever gets dirty, you can take off the head the same way, put the body into a pillow case that you can zip up and toss it into the wash.

I agree, you could not have a more precious picture!
And her cake is too cute! Did you make it yourself? I can't tell, is that a HP figure or a piped icing figure?

Precious pictures! And what an adorable thing for her to say. I just love the things kids come up with.
My Samantha has shorter hair. It looks to be as long as your DD's Samantha. I think it's easier for kids to manage.
Have fun!
